Intense and stressfull  G 20 for police and the people of Toronto .

G20 Toronto Riot Police

Riot Police during G8 G20 in Toronto

Clashes in the streets of Toronto leave a bewildered Police department wondering what’s next and asking for continued support from the public. The people of Toronto and Canada were left with the bill, the clean up and the feeling that their rights were put to the test this weekend.  Police refuse to apologize for their actions on Sunday when they detained people in the street on the corner of Spidina and Queen St.  Police say they were detained so they could be questioned and interviewed. People are saying that they were not questioned and were just held against their will. The Toronto police feel that they were simply up holding the law and protecting the people of Toronto. Perhaps things would have gone better if absolutely no one including the G20 delegates showed up. Prime Minister Harper should have plenty of explaining to do when Parliament resumes. Police used Muzzle Blasts to control crowds and plenty of people have wounds from Police clubs.

Nicolas SarkozyThe Lofty goal for stabilising the global economy turned into a pledge for each Country to do whatever they want. What is the point of meeting under restrained conditions and this is all they can come up with. The United States will continue to spend what they want and create as many surpluses as needed. So everyone smiled at Stephen Harper expressing their agreement and in the same breath expressed their right to do whatever they want. Frances Nicolas Sarkozy did not even wait until returning to France before doing whatever he wants.  First he insults his host by expressing that we over paid on the event. Perhaps Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy would have preferred staying at the French Connection Strip Club or the Fillmore’s in Toronto, ON. I’m sure you could rent the bouncers for a very low hourly rate.

If that wasn’t enough Mr. Sarkozy then decides he should be the host of the G20 and the hell with protocol he’s exercising his God Given French Right to do whatever he wants and held his press conference first.

The Russian president resembled your used car sales man uncle that no one in the family has spoken to in years, looking to network at the family reunion barbecue. I think I got one of his cards, I found it at Queen and Spadina. Anyways he really looked happy to be here bouncing around, I guess they don’t do much camping in Russia.

Hu Jintao looked like he was experimenting with some kind of new Syth Lord Dark side of the force mind trick. You will follow Chinese orders and wouldn’t you know it I felt like ordering Chinese food all weekend. When Prime Minister Harper met the president of China he gave him a gift of maple syrup, in fact he gave everyone he met syrup. I think we should request discloser on what was spent on syrup this weekend. Hu Jin Tow looked really impressed with your tree sap Mr. Harper. The Chinese president gave us secret political advisors and a cup of tea. Perhaps we should have given him a beaver and a room next to Sarkozy at the French Connection.

How does Chris Rock say it, oh yes “Baaraack O Baaaamaaa” it was more like Erkel goes camping. Mr Obama It’s ok to not like Harper just over %50 of his own people feel the same way. I loved the world leader stroll through black fly country only there were no black flies because Harper had enough left over to provide each of his G8 camping friends with a can of off. Screw the Ozone eh Mr. Harper I bet you killed every bug in a ten mile radius of the summit.

This is one day Canada’s biggest city won’t soon forget. Now it’s time to clean up and count your losses. Smashed burning police cars in one of our busiest streets and innocent merchant stores vandalised while police did very little to immediately intervene. 50 to a 100 people dressed in black and NOT FROM TORONTO used violence to make a point, abused peaceful demonstrations for their own agenda cost us Billions. If you have any information on the people responsible for this please do the right thing and provide this information to the police. Security crack down after the  fact and 24 hours to late resulted in hundreds of innocent people being detained in the pouring rain for over 3 hours.

Small Camera’s played a crucial role in telling this story. People seemed to stream in with their camera phones and video cameras. Toronto police had their share of security cameras installed just for the G 20 but it would seem that the little camera’s in everyone’s pocket was the real security camera.

This will not end tonight as protesters get released and lawyer up.

A Police Security team will remain well into the day long after the leaders have left.
