Canada SEO > Google Buzz a Waterloo creation

Posted on February 10, 2010

Google Inc.’s presence in Canada’s tech capital ‘Waterloo’ had been veiled in secrecy since its opening in 2005. Google’s Waterloo presence has grown from three employees to a team of several dozen.

Google unveiled Google Buzz, a new tool that adds social-networking capabilities popularized by such sites as Facebook and Twitter to the company’s Gmail email service.

Google Waterloo team played an integral role in the creation of Buzz. Is Google using misdirection or is it planning to enter the Social Media field from Waterloo Canada. Does this mean an increase in jobs for the South Western Ontario Tech sector? It would be safe to assume that Google is playing patty fingers with Research In Motion Ltd.

For some Google Buzz is nothing more than a disclaimer “We’re still rolling out Buzz to everyone, so if you don’t see it in your Gmail account yet, check back soon”.

Google buzz Features

Import your stuff from Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, and Google Reader.

Interesting posts news posts and comments pop in as they happen.

Publish your ideas to the world or just to your closest friends.

Buzz from your phone

Share updates and more.

Google decided to release Buzz without any buzz!

The Buzz around Waterloo is they are Google’s most vital recruitment centre and product development hub.
